I believe there is a misunderstanding: the video shows the document controller's screen where documents have been sent out to a contractor. I suggest we schedule a call to clarify the use case.
Hi Richard, We have tested this method (please see attached video). But this is not working as there is a red dot. This means there is mandatory properties not fill. So the contractor is not able to edit and submit the documents. So we need a new option button for the contractors to be able to send unused documents please.
Hi Valerie, for the contractor the option is to return all three untouched, this can be done directly from the packages page. I have amended the document with additional screen shots on the last page.
Hi Richard, thanks for the clarification. One more question: let say the package contains 3 documents and none of them are modified. What is the option for the contractor to send them back to us?
Apologies, I missed this request. please find attached word document with screenshots. In case this does not work for you, please contact our support department.
Thanks for your suggestion, but I believe this is available to you already.
In 2020 the option was added: Unchanged documents that were sent to a contractor for revision may now be included in packages along with draft documents returned to the document controller for review. Previously, only draft documents could be returned.
Furthermore, when a contractor returns a document unchanged from Portal to Meridian, it is possible to take a decision what to do (e.g. revoke the workflow).
I believe this would fullfill this need, and I will close this request. Please let me know if you have any further requests.
Hi Richard,
Our contractors get the same screen. Yes we can have a call to discuss on this.
Thanks,

Hi Richard, would you be able to provide screenshots or videos so we can tell our contractor how to proceed?
Thanks,
