Check CAD content compliance prior to importing documents

Track CAD content compliance on import of files. This component would check line types, fonts, allowed xrefs and title block content compliance prior to importing the file. An approved file would get in whereas a failed file would be refused. In both cases, a report of the success/failure would be generated.

We had this very function custom built into our configuration of Meridian PowerWeb/User.  It is set up so that certain rules will 'fail' a file, while other rules will simply 'report' that the issue exists.

COMMENTS: Brian Sallade Nov 29, 2017 Great idea! I have been asked about this by many customers.

Darren McCarthy Dec 21, 2017 This feature would add real value to companies like AWE who work with a myriad of supplies, with many differing competence levels from a CAD Standards point of view.

Coen Vromans Mar 29, 2018 It would be very usefull to have the same import functionality for project repositories. An import spreadsheet with predefined meta-data should be part of the import package as well.
