PDFTron to View jpg and png formats

This customer has asked us to reach out to BlueCielo/Accurent regarding the implementation of PDFTron with Meridian. They like the viewer and would like to use it for other things. They are familiar with PDFTron being used for rendition viewing in Meridian and want to know if it would be possible to configure it to be used for viewing other files.

They have done their own research on the subject and they believe it can be done;

PDFTron's website shows that they support a variety of file formats that they are interested in (in particular jpg and png formats):
https://www.pdftron.com/pdf-sdk/supported-file-formats/

pdfreadercontrol.js
https://www.pdftron.com/api/web/CoreControls.Document.html

Is there something they can do today with 2018R2 to help them? Is this something that is coming in a future version?

    COMMENTS:

    Rudi Pieters Dec 3, 2018 Raster formats and also Office formats are supported by PDFTron, but not under the license we currently have for BlueCielo products.

    Coen Vromans Dec 4, 2018 A simple workaround would be to render the image formats (jpg, png, bmp, tiff) to pdf and view the rendition by default. Note that Meridian also needs the pdf rendition to facilitate online annotation and review by multiple users. The pdf is also used for offline annotation and review purposes.
