Currently the single file size limit set by Meridian (and not by the underlying Operating System File System) is 4 GB. There are requests from customers to be able to store larger files in Meridian, for instance they look forward to storing large data files from point cloud surveys in Meridian vault.

Why is it useful, who would benefit from it, how should it work?
