Power Web will need to download all referenced files

When using IE (not edge) Meridian will download all referenced files when opening a CAD file. ie. MAster plan drawing with all xref'd background files.


This does not happen on any other browser, we will need this to work the same as it does in IE for us to be able to fully move to Power Web from the client software.

    Will the site cache be the only option for this? Is this available now? We are running 2020.2

    Hi Jorge, in browsers other than IE, the Site Cache client will manage download and upload of references.

    Hi Jorge,

    Do you use Internet Explorer with Active-X controls? Active-X controls are not supported in other browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox, Safari). As alternative you can use Site Cache to download x-refs when downloading the CAD file.

    In addition you might want to render your CAD files with X-refs to use the embedded HTML5 PDFTron viewer in PowerWeb.
