The ability to disable the automatic generation of a rendition.
File types that cannot generate a rendition within merdian (such as visio files), you can attach a rendition and then send the item for review, however meridian than attempts to create a rendition and it fails, which overwrites the attached rendition.
The work around is to send for review and then attach a rendition.
This is counter intuitive, if you could disable the automatic generation of a rendition this would not be a problem.
Hi Thomas, in Enterprise Server > Data Exchange > Jobs > [Rendition Job] > Rendering > File Extension Mapping you can select the .vsd and .vsdx extension and then set the first action to [Do not publish].
Let me know if this does not address the issue.
BTW since Meridian 2021 the Aspose render engine is included, which supports Visio.
