Meridian is implemented for Oxy Direct Air Capture business unit that has many programs. 4 of 5 program document do not Xref or other relations. The Document Range should default to "Automatic" with the option to switch to "Manual" when necessary. Otherwise, following document importation, we must resort to using the "Issue New Filename" function to assign document numbers, just an extra step for most DAC users. The document range setting should be a configuration option.

The default document range is set to "Automatics" for newly created documents (from a template). Imported documents are created with the existing document file name. The default document range for imported documents is required to maintain and update document references (xrefs). You can rename documents using the Edit -> Issue New File Name option after importing.
