Add Custom Properties to Power Projects that can be used to sort

Please allow us to add properties to projects, e.g. Facility, Department, Year. They should be lookup lists. Then allow these to be part of the tree view so we don't have to scroll through every project.

Hi, still it is not as a good solution as having the properties in the project as it is possible in Meridian server. Your solution implies having to fill the properties in every document instead of having the document inheriting the property from the folder.

Hi Coen, thanks for pointing that out. However, the properties used by the Project Breakdown are not how we would like to sort, e.g. location/site. The only method we have come up with is to agree upon a project naming convention.

I believe what Ed wants is to assign properties to the project folder (which is possible in Meridian Server). As far as I know this is not possible under Meridian Cloud.

Hi Coen, In my configuration, only the Project ID and Project Name are available properties. The Project Breakdown would work if there was a way to fill in those project properties.

    Hi Ed,

Meridian Power has the Project Breakdown View that allows you to navigate in a project breakdown structure. The Project Breakdown View consists of the Project Type, Project Name, Discipline, Classification, Assembly and Part.

In a similar fashion you can use the Facility Breakdown View to navigate through the Facility Breakdown Structure.

    Regards,

    Coen
