General Correspondence and Request for Information
It would be great to have a general correspondence area within the Portal when engaging with contractors to give the contractors the capability to engage with the Project team. This would be general Project related questions, that we could have as a record within the project and not external via Outlook etc.
There has also been a strong need for RFI (Request for Information) The contractors do not have a space where they can request information via a Mail correspondence within the Portal, and if needed attach a document to this correspondence, such as a drawing register of drawing they need, or request some information within the company that is project related. This function would also need a Close out date so that the contractor can get the information in a timely fashion.

We have next to the suggestion made above, an initiative that would cater for the exchange of comments on specific packages of documents. This idea is being considered for a future release of Meridian. Stay tuned for updates.

Hi Robert,
You can already create Request for Information package in Portal and send it to multiple vendors. You can use a Transmittal Package and send the package For Information to a Group of Contractors. The Contractors will receive an e-mail notification with the RFI. They can all respond with a Transmittal package For Response.
The Transmittal package has the option to acknowledge and due dates to return
