Projects have a workflow definition to control who can progress documents through the workflow.
However it is only possible for someone who is assigned Project Manager to a project can actually progress a project through the workflow. This makes assigning groups to Project Definitions states pointless if they have not already been assigned as Project Manager to a project.
Also when assigning users to be Project Managers for a project, this can be any user, there is no way to restrict this to a group of users who may have an admin role.
Is this something which is going to be rationalised soon?
