Pdftron Viewer Size Warning Adjustment

While I appreciate the need to have some sort of size warning level in the viewer I believe that it should be user configurable.  "Large" is somewhat relative depending on connection speeds and 1MB is on the small size.  When set this low, the warning becomes rather irritating when "flipping" though individual drawing.

A new setting is available to define the LargeViewFileSizeToWarnInKb in Meridian Explorer. Please see documentation https://documentation.bluecieloecm.com/BCWebHelp/en/es/2019%20R2/ag/Content/Enterprise%20Server/Customizing%20the%20user%20interface.htm?Highlight=LargeViewFileSizeToWarnInKb

We are now at 2020R2 and this still hasn't been addressed. As we start to bring on more users and data, this interruption on a smooth traversal/navigation across common document sets becomes more bothersome.. Would it be possible to get an update?

idea seconded. a 2-3mb file is a regular occurrence. This warning is unnecessary, and would like the ability to adjust the threshold. Perhaps in our case 5mb is a good threshold.

Sorry I had missed that you had requested a clarification.  This is all in BC Explorer PDFtron view.  Nothing to do with "creating/importing a document to adding data to editing.

As mentioned it happens when the viewer is going to display a file larger than 1MB.  This limit is quite low by today's intranet standards and is somewhat annoying when you advancing though a set of drawings.

While it is a good thing to have a warning level it should be adjustable in the BC Explorer configuration.

I've attached some screenshots of the scenario and warning in question.

    • First I have a list of drawings and select "view".
    • Then I get the warning.
    • Then as I use the arrows on the lower right of the screen to advance or move though the list that warning gets thrown every time I hit a drawing over 1MB

In our environment a 10MB warning limit would probably be more appropriate but, as mentioned, this should be configurable in the admin interface.

    Thank you for the suggestion.

Can you please clarify when the size warning is shown?

For example, please walk me through the process that causes this, such as the process of creating/importing a document to adding data to editing and so on.

Also, screen captures would help convey the message.
