"Annotations saved successfully" message in PDFTron when saving annotations

Hi,

Previously, in PDFTron when a user saved their annotations, they received a message saying "Annotations saved successfully."

Since we have installed the following patches, we no longer see this message.

  • Update 1.1
  • Patch 4131.4164 (MPS-23590)
  • Patch 2018R2U1 4158 (MPS-22013)

These patches were installed as a resolution to an issue we had where we were unable to saves images as annotations on renditions using PDFTron - it would allow us to add the images but they wouldn't save.

Anyway, the user has flagged that this "annotations saved successfully" message was vital, and they are disappointed that it has been removed.

It would be great to add this in again :)

Thanks

Owen

    Hi Rudi,

thanks for the response. I think the idea you have shared looks great!

    When will this be available?

Regarding the patches, support said this is a known issue with those patches, so it is strange that you weren't aware! Thanks for the info.

Looking forward to hearing if this is available in Meridian 2020, as this could be another reason to upgrade for the customer :)

I never was too thrilled about that message, but can imagine that user like the confirmation.
BTW it is still there in 2019 R2 (with PDFTron 3) so don't know what the issue is with the updates. In Meridian 2020 (PDFTron 5) it's gone. We want to improve info on the rendition anyway, how about this idea:
