This message is extremely annoying and pops up every time you take any action on a document in a large folder. Currently it defaults to a very low number of files and can be adjusted to 300 files. 300 is not a large number of files within a single folder. We have for example, an instrument loop folder for each cost center(about 30) and these folders typically have at least 500 files.
some good feedback but if you're not the admin tuff luck
In the Meridian 2020 release the limit can now be raised to 3,000 (ItemsPerCall setting in profile file and corresponding default in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cyco\AutoManager Meridian\CurrentVersion\WebLink\UserPreferences\Default).
Closing this idea. If the threshold of 3,000 is not enough please enter a new idea.
This nuisance may be overcome by going to View, Options, Advanced, then under Performance on the line "Warn when a folder contains more documents than:" raise the number to something larger than what you want to receive a warning for.
We have had this asked by several customers, they find it extremely annoying to receive this message every time they open a folder. 300 documents in a folder doesn't present a performance concern. Ideally, the threshold should be configurable on the web server.
For me it should even be better that the amount of documents are divided over several pages; same principle as it is now when you are using the search function.
