OKTA/ SAML Authentication for Power Web / Explorer Client
One of our largest customer uses OKTA to authenticate users onto all applications inside their network. This makes it easy to manage temporary/contract staff. SAML protocols need to be enabled in the Power Web client to make this possible. SSO or Single Sign-On is increasing part of most enterprise customer environments.
Also, they need a better way to manage the users from the IDP to Meridian with a Sync similar to ADSync, otherwise, the users from the customer identity provider will have to be added manually to security groups, which can be very difficult with a large number of users.
Several of our customers request SAML /2FA authentication with their own identity provider in a non Meridian cloud/tenancy situation.
Are there any plans to support SAML in a non Meridian cloud/tenancy situation for Explorer and PowerWeb?

This feature is shipped with the 2019 release for all Meridian Server clients (PowerWeb, Explorer, LWS and CAD Links). E-signature is not yet supported, this is planned for the 2020 R2 release.

Arjen Bos Feb 9, 2018 Hi Brendan This functionality has been developed for our Meridian Cloud platform and is scheduled for BC-2018R2 for Meridian Server. Authentication will support any SAML based authentication provider. We also support User group synchronization, for those systems that are Graph compatible ADFS.
Rudi Pieters Jun 18, 2018 Unfortunately this will not make it into the 2018R2 release. This is now under consideration for the 2019 release.
