Power Web should allow the default list of windows templates, if no templates have been specified

At the moment (in 2018 R2), if you do not specify templates against a document type, the document is imported as a no content object, rather than the list of "user's default windows templates".

    Thank you for your suggestion.

I'm afraid that this may not be feasible because a web client that runs within a web browser does not have access to all of the local Windows resources including which applications are installed and their possible templates.

Rudi Pieters Aug 8, 2018 The default Windows templates of the workstation are not available for PowerWeb. Technically we could use the ones on the IIS server, but would that be useful?

lara.graham@kinsmengroup.com Aug 8, 2018 Hi Rudi, Yes, I think that would be useful. Thanks
