Allow changing Document Range to Automatic after manual import of documents

As a Power User I would like to use the Edit - > Issue New Filename after manual importing documents. To do so I need to change Document Range from Manual to Automatic. Currently the Document Range field is Read-Only. As a Power User I would like to Update the Document Range field when the Document is Under-Change.

    Would it be an option that we ask it to be set to Automatic as part of issue new file name?
