Drag and Drop Emails or Email Attachments from outlook into powerweb

It would be very productive when users can drag and drop emails or email-attachments from their outlook client into powerweb vault. In Chrome this works, but support told us that it is more 'by accident' than it is a dedicated function. For example this works not in IE11.

 

Now I am hasitant to rollout this thing in Chrome because Chrome could change this unexpectedly.

 

So please consider to make this a dedicated Meridian functionality.

    I just tested the drag and drop in MS Edge and it works to drop an e-mail in the Power Web client. Would be nice if and email message is automatically rendered to improve user experience by viewing thumbnail and rendition.

    There is an integration to Outlook that allows users to import email messages and attachments into Meridian. With the Outlook integration, there is no need to switch between applications. So, users can continue using their favorite browser.

    The “About Outlook email integration” section of the User Guide provides useful information on how to use this.

    Also, the “Understanding the email link” section of the Config Guide provides information for your Meridian Administrator to configure this integration.
